Fishing Challenges.
The European Native Trout Challenge invites anglers to explore, discover, and protect Europe’s native trout and salmonid species. Through our challenges, you can experience the thrill of fishing in new waters, pursue unique species, and contribute to conservation efforts at the same time.
Our challenges are designed for responsible anglers who want to test their skills, celebrate their achievements, and support native fish habitats.
Current Challenge.
Slovenian Native Slam.
Goal: Catch all native salmonid species of Slovenia in their natural habitats.
This is the first challenge in our series and a perfect way to explore the diversity of Slovenia’s rivers. Whether you’re after marble trout in Alpine streams or grayling in clear lowland rivers, the Slovenian Native Slam encourages you to fish responsibly and discover the country’s hidden gems.
How It Works:
- Enter the challenge: €15 per participant.
- Catch & document: Fish responsibly and submit photos of your catches including the location.
- Rewards: Receive a magnet button with the challenge logo and a certificate recognizing your achievement.
Where the profits go:
All proceeds from the challenge are dedicated to supporting native species conservation and habitat restoration projects. This includes initiatives such as improving river habitats, protecting endangered trout populations, and funding research on native species. By participating, you’re directly contributing to the preservation of Europe’s unique freshwater ecosystems.
