Hucho.

The Hucho genus includes some of the world’s largest and most powerful salmonids, commonly known as taimens. These impressive predatory fish are built for strength and speed, feeding primarily on other fish.
The most famous species, Hucho taimen, is found across Siberia and Mongolia, where specimens exceeding 150 cm and 45 kg have been recorded. In Europe, its close relative Hucho hucho, the Danube salmon, holds the title of the continent’s largest salmonid. This iconic fish once inhabited large parts of Central Europe and remains a prized species for conservation and sustainable catch-and-release fly fishing.
