Ribiška Družina Cerknica (RD Cerknica).
Founded on 1 July 1956, Ribiška Družina Cerknica is a non-profit fishing club established by local nature lovers and fishing enthusiasts. The original purpose of the club was closely tied to the unique nature of Lake Cerknica, specifically to organize fish rescue efforts during dry periods when the intermittent lake would disappear and leave fish stranded. Today, RD Cerknica has around 170 members, including approximately 50 younger anglers. The club continues to focus on managing and protecting fish populations within the karst system of the Ljubljanica–Sava basin (Danube basin), adapting its work to the highly dynamic hydrology of the region.
