Cast a line, make a change

Ribiška Družina Renče (RD Renče).

Founded in 2000, Ribiška Družina Renče is a young and dynamic fishing club managing waters in the lower Soča basin, with a primary focus on the Vipava River. The club is dedicated to conserving native fish populations and promoting sustainable, responsible fishing in south western Slovenia.

Regulations.

  • Fly fishing and spin fishing permitted, depending on the section.
  • Barbless hooks only.
  • One artificial fly or lure may be used.
  • Catch & Release zones designated on selected stretches.

Fishing season.

  • General season: 1 March – 31 October.

Vipava River – The club’s only trout fishery. Flowing through karst terrain and vineyards, the Vipava supports Marble Trout, Grayling, Brown Trout, hybrids, and occasional Rainbow Trout.
The Vipava offers a mix of gentle valley sections accessible to most anglers and narrower, more technical stretches where experience or local guidance can be useful.
