Ribiška Družina Tržič (RD Tržič).

Founded in 1956, Ribiška Družina Tržič manages a diverse group of salmonid waters in the upper Sava basin, ranging from the larger Sava River to the alpine Tržiška Bistrica and the much smaller Mošenik.
The club places particular emphasis on maintaining its native fish populations. Its fish-breeding activities focus primarily on Brown Trout and European Grayling, while an organized fish-guard service helps protect the waters under its management.

Waters Managed by RD Tržič.

RD Tržič manages three distinctly different salmonid waters within the upper Sava basin, from a major Huchen and Grayling river to small alpine trout streams.

• Sava – The Sava is the largest river managed by RD Tržič and offers classic larger-river fly fishing with a mixture of runs, pools and faster sections. The river supports Brown Trout and European Grayling, while Huchen provide a separate winter fishery. The Sava is the most diverse of the club's salmonid waters and provides a very different fishing environment from the smaller mountain rivers around Tržič.
• Tržiška Bistrica – The Tržiška Bistrica is a clear alpine river descending from the Karavanke near the Austrian border before joining the Sava. Its mountain character, clear water and varied structure make it particularly suited to fly fishing. Brown Trout dominate much of the river, while European Grayling are also present in the lower section. Part of the upper fishable river is managed under Catch & Release regulations, while the headwaters and most tributaries serve as breeding waters.
  
• Mošenik – Mošenik is a small mountain stream originating around the Ljubelj Pass and is primarily a Brown Trout water. For many years it was managed as a breeding stream for what the club describes as genetically pure Brown Trout, allowing some fish to reach considerable sizes.Today, its fishable trophy section is managed exclusively under Catch & Release regulations and offers technical small-stream fly fishing for Brown Trout.
  

Licenses.

Fishing permits for RD Tržič waters can be purchased through the club and at authorized local sales points.
Separate permits are available for the Sava, Tržiška Bistrica and Mošenik, including Catch & Release options. Huchen fishing on the Sava uses separate permits and regulations.
