Luka Lukman has been guiding anglers in Slovenia since 2004 and belongs to the early generation of Slovenian fly fishermen who helped shape the country's modern fly-fishing scene. With decades of experience on Slovenian rivers, Luka knows not only how to catch fish, but also where and when to find them. For Luka, fly fishing is closely connected to the seasons. When snow is melting in the Alps, the spring creeks of central Slovenia can offer excellent hatches and dry-fly fishing. As summer arrives and lower-elevation waters become warmer, the cooler alpine rivers become the place to be. Dry-fly fishing has always been Luka's favourite part of the sport, but he offers a wide range of fly-fishing techniques depending on the conditions and the goals of his guests.

Luka guides throughout Slovenia and has extensive experience across the country's main trout and grayling rivers.

Luka also guides for Huchen (Hucho hucho) on selected Slovenian waters. On some rivers, Huchen fishing is restricted to members or guides connected to the local fishing club or management organization. Luka can guide on waters where he has the required access, as well as on waters where these membership restrictions do not apply.
